Moderna vaccination - 10 out of 4 million had severe allergic reactions

アメリカCDC＝疾病対策センターは22日、アメリカの製薬会社モデルナが開発した新型コロナウイルスのワクチンを接種したおよそ400万人のうち、アナフィラキシーと呼ばれる激しいアレルギー反応を示した人は10人だったとする報告書を公表しました。追跡できた人は全員すでに回復したということです。

報告書によりますと、アメリカの製薬会社モデルナが開発したワクチンを接種した人は先月21日から今月10日までに全米でおよそ404万人で、性別は61％が女性、36％が男性で、残りは不明だとしています。

このうち健康に関する報告は、ワクチンと関係があるかわからないものも含めて、1266件、0.03％だったということです。

また、激しいアレルギー反応であるアナフィラキシーの症状を示した人は10人、100万人当たり2.5人で、このうち9人は、過去に薬や食べ物などでアレルギー反応が出たことがあったということです。

症状を示した10人はすべてが女性で、9人は接種後15分以内で症状が出たということです。

10人のうち、その後の経過が追跡できた8人は全員すでに回復しているということです。

CDCは「モデルナのワクチン接種後のアナフィラキシー症状はまれな出来事とみられる」としたうえで、念のため激しいアレルギー反応に備えて接種を行うよう求めるとともに、健康への影響を注意深く検証していくとしています。

According to the report, about 4.04 million people in the US were vaccinated from the 21st of last month to the 10th of this month. Among those who received vaccines made by the American pharmaceutical company Moderna, 61% were female and 36% male while the remaining were unknown.

Of these, 1266 cases or 0.03%, were health related reports which included those whose relationship with the vaccine was unknown.

Also, 10 people had showed symptoms of anaphylaxis which was a severe allergic reaction, the ratio was 2.5 people per 1 million people. Among them 9 people had allergic reactions due to drugs or food in the past.

All the 10 people who showed symptoms were women, and 9 people had symptoms within 15 minutes after vaccination.

Of these 10 people, 8 could be tracked down after that, and they were all recovering.

In addition, the CDC supposed that "anaphylactic symptoms after vaccination with Moderna are considered to be a rare event"; and requested that vaccination be given with preparation for any severe allergic reactions, and that its effects on health should be carefully investigated.
