インフルの治療薬「アビガン」 新型コロナ治療の臨床試験開始

新型インフルエンザ治療薬、「アビガン」を製造している日本の製薬会社は、新型コロナウイルスの治療薬として国の承認を受けるための臨床試験を始めたと発表しました。
「アビガン」、一般名「ファビピラビル」は、新型インフルエンザの治療薬として、６年前、製薬会社の富士フイルム富山化学が開発したもので31日、新型コロナウイルスの治療のための臨床試験を始めたと発表しました。
臨床試験は東京都内の病院で新型コロナウイルスに感染した患者、およそ100人を対象に６月末まで行われ、治療の効果や安全性を確認するということです。
「アビガン」は動物実験で胎児への副作用が報告されたことから、妊娠中の女性には投与できず、ほかの薬が効かない感染症が発生し、国が使用すると判断した場合に限って投与されることになっています。
すでに中国では、新型コロナウイルスに感染した患者に投与する臨床研究を行った結果、肺炎の症状などを改善させる効果が認められたと報告されています。
日本でも、新型コロナウイルスに対して効果があるかどうか調べる臨床研究が３月から愛知県の藤田医科大学病院などで始まっています。
富士フイルム富山化学は臨床試験の結果、効果や安全性が確認されれば、新型コロナウイルスの治療薬として国に承認申請を行う方針です。

pharmaceutical company Fujifilm Toyama Chemical six years ago as a therapeutic
agent for new influenza, it was announced on March 31 that clinical trials for its
treatment on new coronavirus would be started.
Clinical trials would be conducted in hospitals in Tokyo
until about the end of June on approximately 100 patients infected with the new
coronavirus as if to confirm the effectiveness and safety of the treatment.
In animal studies Abigan had been reported to have side
effects on the fetus, so it would not be administered to pregnant women. In cases
that an infectious disease could not be cured with other drugs, Abigan would be
administered if the country decided to use it.
Already in China, regarding the result of a clinical study on
its administration to patients infected with the new coronavirus, its effect in
improving symptoms such as pneumonia had been reported.
In Japan, clinical research to determine whether it was
effective against the new coronavirus had begun in March at Fujita Medical
University Hospital in Aichi Prefecture.
FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical planned to submit an application to
the government for its approval as a new type of coronavirus curing medicine if
its efficacy and safety were confirmed as a result
of clinical trials.

Japan.
