韓國政府批評初中教科書検定

 【ソウル大貫智子】韓国外務省は6日、日本の中学校教科書の検定結果で、竹島(韓国名・独島)に関する記述が全ての社会科教科書に掲載されたことなどを受け、「日本政府がゆがんだ歴史観に基づいた領土観を日本の育ちゆく世代に教え込むことは過去の誤りを繰り返すことと変わりがない」と批判する報道官声明を発表した。趙太庸(チョテヨン)外務第1次官は同日、別所浩郎駐韓大使を外務省に呼んで抗議した。
 ただ声明では、今年が日韓国交正常化50周年にあたることを強調し、従軍慰安婦問題への旧日本軍の関与を認めた「河野談話」に言及。「真摯(しんし)な姿勢で両国関係改善のために努力することを望む」とした。
 一方、韓国教育省は6日、韓国の教科書における対抗措置を発表。旧日本軍の従軍慰安婦問題について「日本政府の主導により、強制動員された」などの記述を強める方針を明らかにした。

  On the 6th (April) the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting the official vetting results on the Japanese junior high school textbooks in which the description of Takeshima (Korean name: Tok-do) appeared in all textbooks in the social studies, made public a press attaché statement to criticize that "the Japanese Government based on distorted historical views to teach the growing up generation in Japan on territory outlook, and to repeat the error made in the past without any changes". On the same day the First Under-Secretary Choutayou (Choteyon) called in Bessho Hiroshiro, the Japanese ambassador in Korea to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make a protest.

    Also in the announcement, it emphasized the 50th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea, and referred to the "Kono talk" which admitted the participation of the old Japanese army in the military comfort woman problem. It supposed that "in a sincere manner they wished there were incidents in making efforts to improve the relationship between the two countries".

    On the other hand, on the 6th the Korean Department of Education announced counter-measures in Korean textbooks. On the military comfort woman problem in the old Japanese army, it made clear a policy of strengthening the description that "the mobilization was enforced under the leadership of the Japanese Government" etc.


I look forward to hearing comments from China over the textbook updating made by Japan.
