日,中新世代互相憎悪感増加

Last month the Yomiuri News on-line reported the following:

日中の若い世代が憎悪を増幅…佐々江駐米大使

　【ワシントン＝今井隆】佐々江賢一郎駐米大使は２６日の記者会見で、「日中双方の若い世代」がツイッターなどによる応酬で憎悪の感情を「急速に増幅している」と懸念を示した。

　佐々江氏は「お互いに相手の感情を害するようなことをしないよう、古い世代の人たちは国を指導していく責任がある」と語った。

　また「中国は引き続きあらゆる機会をとらえて日本批判のキャンペーンを今後も行っていくだろう」と、中国政府の反日プロパガンダ（政治宣伝）に不快感を示した。

   At a press conference held on the 26^th (February), Ambassador to the U.S. Ken-ichiro Sasae expressed concern over the “quick spreading” of exchanges of hatred feeling between "the younger generation of both Chinese and Japanese" in the twitter etc.”.

Mr. Sasae said "people of the older generation have the responsibility to guide the country so that mutually nothing would be done to hurt a partner's feeling".

Also, displeasure was shown to Chinese government’s anti-Japanese propaganda (political campaign) of "from now on China will also continue to take all opportunities to perform a campaign of criticizing Japan".

It is sad to note that the feeling of hatred between the younger generation in China and Japan is increasing. Could the leadership do something to stop that?
