　太平洋のクロマグロの過剰な漁獲が続き、２０１０年の資源量が、過去最低レベルにまで落ち込んだとの評価報告書を、日本や米国などが参加する国際機関「北太平洋まぐろ類国際科学委員会（ＩＳＣ）」の作業部会が１６日までにまとめた。

　クロマグロは太平洋と大西洋に生息しているが、大西洋では乱獲が著しいため、厳しい漁獲規制が行われている。今回、太平洋産に対して作業部会は「０７〜０９年の漁獲レベルが続けば資源回復は望めない」と指摘。環境保護団体や研究者から、漁獲規制を求める声が強まりそうだ。（共同）

The bluefin tuna inhabited in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. Since over-hunting was serious, severe fish catch regulation was enforced in the Atlantic Ocean. This time, the task force for the production from the Pacific Ocean indicated that "Resource recovery cannot be expected if the fish catching level for 07 to 09 years continues". From environmental groups and researchers, it was likely that the call for fish catching regulation would be strong.

It seems that stringent regulations are needed in order to stop the over-hunting of bluefin tuna in the oceans as soon as possible.
