Last month the Yomiuri News on-line reported the following:

It turned out that in an Internet site in China the internal documents of many companies in and outside the country were published in large quantities and could be perused.

Since Japanese companies were also included, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) began an investigation to grasp the actual situation.

Many data of the companies with names considered to be of Japanese origin, such as "Sony", "Toyota", "Hitachi", "Matsushita", were published in a Chinese major company search engine site the "100 times (Baidu)" which ordinary people in the street could contribute and publish. Data included a performance table of some home electronics and the electric diagram, a training manual of the company, etc. According to JETRO and the Japanese companies, it was said that most data did not cause actual harm to the management. It could be seen that in many cases it was internal documents flowing out from a retired employee or a customer.

It was said that individual company that had details published was requesting the site operator to provide the means to delete them.

It seems that it is an issue involving the copy right of documents.
