China's Alibaba Announces Conversational AI " Tongyi Qianwen"

 （ＣＮＮ） 中国のネット通販大手アリババ集団は１１日、「チャットＧＰＴ」に似た対話型人工知能（ＡＩ）サービス「通義千問」を発表した。

「大規模言語モデル（ＬＬＭ）」と呼ばれる技術が使われている同サービスは、アリババのスマートスピーカーや企業向けメッセージプラットフォームにも組み込まれる見通し。通義千問は大量のデータを基に、利用者からの問い掛けに対して説得力のある回答を導き出すための訓練が行われている。

最初は上記の二つの製品に導入されるが、最終的には、電子商取引や地図など全てのサービスに組み込まれるという。

グループの最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）でクラウド部門も率いる張勇（ダニエル・チャン）氏は北京の会合で、通義千問を発表した。発表では通義千問によってどのように会議のメモを文字に起こしたり、事業の宣伝文句を作ったり、子ども向けの物語を語ったりできるようになるのかが示された。

アリババは通義千問を試験運用のため企業向けに開放し、その後、より多くの利用者が使えるようにするという。

チャットＧＰＴなどの対話型ＡＩはここ数カ月で急速に普及しており、中国のＩＴ企業も参入している。

(CNN) China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group today announced a conversational artificial intelligence (AI) service called Tongyi Qianwen (通義千問)which was similar to Chat GPT.

The service, which would use the technology called Large Language Models (LLMs), was also expected to be integrated into Alibaba's smart speakers and enterprise messaging platform. Based on a large amount of data, the training for the purpose of deriving persuasive answers to questions from users was being carried out.

Initially, it would be introduced in the above two products, but eventually it could be incorporated in all services such as e-commerce and maps.

Group CEO Daniel Zhang (張勇), who also headed the Cloud Division, unveiled the Tongyi Qianwen at a conference in Beijing. There was a presentation to show how Tongyi Qianwen could help you transcribe meeting notes, create business advertisements, and tell stories for children.

Alibaba said it would open up Tongyi Qianwen to businesses for a trial, before making it available to more users.

Conversational AI such as chat GPT had spread rapidly in recent months, and Chinese IT companies were also entering the market.
