菲律賓和越南強化警備合作面對中國

　【マニラ＝向井ゆう子】フィリピンのアキノ大統領は２１日、マニラでベトナムのズン首相と会談し、中国による南シナ海での一方的な現状変更の動きを強く非難するとともに、沿岸警備隊の連携などの協力を強化することで合意した。

　両首脳は今後、インドネシアなど周辺国とも協力し、中国に対する包囲網を形成したい考えだ。

　会談後の共同記者会見で、ズン氏は、パラセル（西沙）諸島沖で中国が石油掘削を開始した問題について、「中国によってもたらされた極度に危険な状況は国際法に違反しており、地域の脅威となっている」と非難し、東南アジアの安全保障を脅かしていると訴えた。また、「（比越）両国は中国の違反行為にともに対抗する」と語った。

President Aquino of the Philippines conferred with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung of Vietnam in Manila on the 21^st (May). While blaming strongly China’s one-sided movement to changing the current condition in the South China Sea, they had agreed to strengthen cooperation in their Coast Guard etc.

Both leaders also intended to cooperate with neighboring countries, such as Indonesia, and to form a net to encircle China from now on.

At a joint news conference after a talk, about the problem that China had started oil drilling off the Paracel (Xi Sha) islands, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung blamed that "the extremely dangerous situation brought about by China is against international laws, and has posed a threat to the area", and he suggested that the security of Southeast Asia was threatened. Moreover, he said "both countries (the Philippines and Vietnam) oppose to China’s misconduct".

To me the Philippines and Vietnam, as political entities, have been in the present location geographically for many years. It is interesting to say that now there is encirclement net.
