日本青年因為失業而自殺比率上升

就職活動の失敗を苦に自殺する１０～２０歳代の若者が、急増している。 　２００７年から自殺原因を分析する警察庁によると、昨年は大学生など１５０人が就活の悩みで自殺しており、０７年の２・５倍に増えた。 　
警察庁は、０６年の自殺対策基本法施行を受け、翌０７年から自殺者の原因を遺書や生前のメモなどから詳しく分析。１０～２０歳代の自殺者で就活が原因と見なされたケースは、０７年は６０人だったが、０８年には９１人に急増。毎年、男性が８～９割を占め、昨年は、特に学生が５２人と０７年の３・２倍に増えた。 　
背景には雇用情勢の悪化がある。厚生労働省によると、大学生の就職率は０８年４月には９６・９％。同９月のリーマンショックを経て、翌０９年４月には９５・７％へ低下。東日本大震災の影響を受けた昨年４月、過去最低の９１・０％へ落ち込んだ。 （2012年5月8日15時25分 読売新聞）

The young people in the 10- 20 age group that committed suicide due to the pain caused by the failure in job-hunting activities was increasing rapidly. According to the National Police Agency which analyzed the cause of suicide starting from 2007, 150 people, such as the college student, had committed suicide because of the trouble in job-hunting activities, last year there was a 2.5 fold increase in number compared to 2007.

The National Police Agency in 2006 implemented the Basic-Law-on-Measures-to-Discourage-Suicide; staring from the following year it analysed the cause of suicide in detail based in the will and the memo etc. written while in life. In the age group 10- 20, the number of case which committing suicide was considered related to job-hunting activities as the reason had increased rapidly to 91 people in 2008, although it was 60 people 2007. Every year, the male accounted for 80-90 percent, and in particular the number of student increased by 3.2 fold in 2007 with 52 people.

Deterioration in employment situation served as a background. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the college student's rate of employment was 96.9% in April, 2008. It fell to 95.7% due to the Lehman shock in the September;  and due to the influence of the East Japan great earthquake, in April last year it fell to the lowest ever at 91.0%.

It seems that the weak economy in Japan will continue for some time.
