中國日本在東盟角力

Recently the Excited News reported the following:

東南アジア諸国連合(ASEAN)に日本と中国、韓国を加えたASEANプラス3が設立する域内経済の監視機関「AMRO」のトップ人事をめぐり、中国が日本からの選出に反対を表明、内定時期が延期されたことが11日、分かった。複数国の外交筋が明らかにした。日本政府関係者は「最近の日中関係悪化が影響した」と指摘。日本に主導権を握られることを中国が警戒しているとの見方を示した。

The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) adding Japan, China and South Korea became the ASEAN-plus-Three (AMRO) was established as the region's economy watchdog; regarding its top personnel matters, it was understood on the 11th that the informal decision time to declare China's opposition to the choice of Japan was postponed.

The diplomatic source of two or more countries clarified it. A person related to Japanese Government pointed out, "Recent Japan-China relations deterioration affected it". It showed that China was watching closely on matters that Japan was taking leadership.

It seems that China is challenging Japan and seeking more influence in the region.
