世界銀行、ウクライナに６４００億円の追加支援 米が資金提供

（ＣＮＮ） 世界銀行は、ウクライナがロシア軍の攻撃をしのぎながら「国や地域レベルで必要不可欠なサービスと中核的な政府機能を維持」できるよう、追加で４５億ドル（約６４００億円）を支援するとの声明を発表した。
世銀によると、この資金は米国が提供し「病院職員や政府・学校職員の賃金、高齢者の年金、公務員の給与、弱者のための社会プログラム」の支援に充てられる。
世銀のマルパス総裁は「戦争が続き、インフラの破壊が深刻化する中、ウクライナの人々に緊急支援を行うという我々のコミットメントはこれまでと同様に揺るぎないものだ」と述べた。
さらに「今回の米国からの寛大な追加の資金提供は、ウクライナが深刻なエネルギー供給の混乱と寒さに直面している重要な時期に行われた。世銀グループは、ウクライナ政府が国民の切実なニーズに対応できるよう、今後もあらゆるリソースを活用していく」とマルパス氏は説明した。
ウクライナのシュミハリ首相も２２日、ツイッターで世界銀行からの追加の資金援助を発表した。シュミハリ氏は、この資金はウクライナの「冬の緊急のニーズに応える」のに役立つと述べた。

(CNN) The World Bank issued a statement that pledged an additional $4.5 billion to help Ukraine "maintain essential services and core government functions at the national and regional level" while fending off Russian military attacks.
According to the World Bank, the money would be provided by the United States and would be used to support "wages for hospital workers, government and school workers, pensions for the elderly, salaries for civil servants, and social programs for the vulnerable."
World Bank President Malpass said, "As the war continues and the destruction of infrastructure worsens, our commitment to providing emergency assistance to the people of Ukraine remains unshakeable."
Furthermore, Malpass explained that “This generous additional funding from the United States takes place at a critical time, when Ukraine is facing severe energy supply disruptions and cold weather. We will continue to respond to the needs, and to make flexible use of all resources."
Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmyhal also announced on Twitter on the 22nd that additional funding from the World Bank would be provided. Shmyhal said the funds could help Ukraine "respond to its urgent winter needs."
