台北故宮博物院會在日本舉辦覽展

台湾の馬英九総統は、中国歴代王朝の宝物を所蔵する台北の故宮博物院の特別展を再来年に初めて東京で開催し、日本との友好関係をさらに深めたいという考えを示しました。
馬英九総統は、１９日、台北の総統府で日本の超党派の国会議員の訪問団と会見し、「故宮博物院の特別展を再来年の６月から９月の間に東京国立博物館で開催したい」と述べました。
台北の故宮博物院は、中国の内戦で共産党に敗れた国民党が台湾に持ち込んだ中国歴代王朝の宝物６９万点を所蔵しています。
海外での展示に当たって、台湾当局は、開催を希望する国に対し、中国政府による差し押さえの申し立てを防ぐ措置を取るよう求めており、日本の国会は、差し押さえを禁止する法律を去年３月に成立させて開催に道を開きました。
故宮博物院の所蔵品の海外での展示は、アメリカやフランスなどで行われたことはありますが、アジアでは初めてです。
また、馬総統は会談で「東京国立博物館などの所蔵品の展示会も台湾で開催してほしい」と述べ、日本との友好関係をさらに深めたいという考えも示しました。

Taiwan's President Ma Ying-jeou would organize for the first time in Tokyo next next year a special exhibition for the National Palace Museum of Taipei which was possessing the treasure of China's successive dynasties, and he showed the idea of further promoting friendly relations with Japan.
President Ma Ying-jeou had an interview in the Presidential Office in Taipei with a nonpartisan Japanese Diet member's visiting group, and he said on the 19th (March) that "I would like to hold a special exhibition of the National Palace Museum from June to September in the year after next in the Tokyo National Museum."
The National Palace Museum in Taipei possessed 690,000 treasures of China's successive dynasties which the National Party carried to Taiwan after defeated by the Communist Party in the civil war in China.
The Taiwan authorities asked the country which wished to hold the exhibition overseas to take measures which prevented the statement of seizure by the Chinese government; and the Parliament of Japan in March last year had enacted the laws which forbid seizure, and paved the way for holding the exhibition.
Although overseas exhibition of the items possessed by the National Palace Museum had been held in the United States and France etc., it was the first time in Asia.
Moreover, President Ma said at a talk that "I also want you to hold exhibitions in Taiwan on items in possession by the Tokyo National Museum etc.", showing the idea of wishing to promote friendly relations with Japan further.

Cultural exchange is always a way to maintain good relationship.
