福島県の佐藤雄平知事は18日、被災地視察に訪れた松本防災相と福島市で会談し、「原発事故を一刻も早く収束しないとだめだ」と述べ、東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故に関する早期の事態収拾を強く求めた。
また、風評被害が広がっていることに関連し、「政府は正確な情報を迅速に発表してもらわないと困る」と苦言を呈した。
会談後、佐藤知事は報道陣に、「40年間、福島県は首都圏に電力を供給してきた。日本中がこの事故に真摯(しんし)に向き合うことを国民の皆さんに申し上げたい」と感情をあらわにした。
一方、松本防災相は報道陣に「見たこと、被災者と話したことを心に刻み、これからの対応に努めたい」と語った。

It seems that the Governor of Fukushima Prefecture had a frank discussion with the visiting minister.
