豐田汽車在俄國東部設立生產線

トヨタ自動車は、自動車の販売が急速に回復しているロシアでの販売を伸ばすため、大手商社や現地の自動車メーカーと組んで、来年春にウラジオストクで自動車の生産を始めることを正式に発表しました。日本の自動車メーカーがロシアの極東に生産拠点を置くのは初めてです。
発表によりますと、トヨタは、三井物産とロシアの自動車メーカー「ソラーズ」が設立する合弁会社に部品を供給し、ウラジオストクの工場で来年春にＳＵＶ＝多目的スポーツ車の生産を始めます。生産規模は当面、月１０００台で、生産した車はトヨタの販売網を使ってロシア全土で販売されるということです。ロシアでは、トヨタや日産が西部のサンクトペテルブルク周辺の工場で生産を行っていますが、日本の自動車メーカーが極東に生産拠点を置くのは今回が初めてです。ロシアの自動車市場は、金融危機のあと販売が大きく落ち込みましたが、去年はおよそ２００万台と急速に回復し、今後も成長が見込まれています。加えて、ロシア政府は極東地域への自動車産業の誘致に力を入れており、トヨタは現地企業に生産技術を提供することで、成長市場での事業拡大を図るねらいがあるものとみられます。

Toyota Motor formally announced that it would pair up with a big trader and a local auto manufacturer to extend sales in Russia because car sales had rapidly recovered, and the production of cars would started next spring in Vladivostok. It would be the first time that a Japanese auto manufacturer opened production footholds in the Far East of Russia.
According to the announcement, parts would be supplied to the established joint venture company by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. together with "Sora-zu" the auto manufacturer in Russia; and Toyota would start the production of SUV the multipurpose sports cars next spring in the factory in Vladivostok. The scale of production would be 1000 a month now and produced cars would be sold using the Toyota sales network throughout Russia. This was the first time for a auto manufacturer in Japan to open production footholds in the Far East although there were Toyota and Nissan production factories around Saint Petersburg in western Russia. Although car sales market in Russia had gone down greatly after the financial crisis, last year it recovered rapidly to about two million and was expected to grow in the future. In addition, the Russian government was making efforts to attract the auto sector to go to the Far East, and it was expected that Toyota would offer productive techniques to the local firms, and it could be seen that there was an attempt which aimed at business expansion in the growing market.
