EU plans to abolish livestock cage breeding - "historical decision" with over 1 million signatures received

ＥＵの行政執行機関である欧州委員会は、ウサギやアヒル、ガチョウ、ウズラ、幼い雌鶏などの家畜のケージ飼育を段階的に縮小し、最終的には廃止するという立法措置を講じる展望を描いている。

同委員会が先月３０日に発表した声明によると、２０２３年までに法案を提出し、２７年までに一連の変更を導入したい考え。

ケージ飼育に関するＥＵの規制は現在のところ、採卵鶏、肉用鶏、雌豚、子牛のみ対象としている。
