Ａ３８０型飛機在関西機場開始有航班

Recently the Yomiuri News on-line reported the following:

「空飛ぶホテル」Ａ３８０型が関空に初就航

　関西空港に２日、定期便として世界最大の旅客機エアバスＡ３８０型機（全長約７３メートル）が初就航した。

　設備の豪華さから「空飛ぶホテル」とも呼ばれ、タイ国際航空では成田のほか、関空―バンコク線（１日１便）に導入、同空港で就航記念セレモニーが行われた。

　同機は総２階建てで、最大約５００人を運べる。広い機内空間を利用し、ファーストクラスはバーラウンジやパウダールーム、ビジネスクラスもバーカウンターなどがある。

　タイから日本への観光客は増加傾向で、新関西空港会社では同機の２階から乗降ができる専用の搭乗橋を来年秋の完成を目指し整備中。搭乗した兵庫県姫路市の主婦（５１）は「他の飛行機とどう違うか楽しみ」と話していた。

   The world's largest passenger plane Airbus A380 type (about 73 meters in full length) for the first time went into commission to provide a regular service at the Kansai Airport on the 2nd.

   It was also called the "Sky flying hotel" due to its luxurious equipment. In addition to the Narita, the Thai Airways introduced the route from Kansai International Airport to Bangkok (once per day); a service commemoration ceremony was performed in the same Airport.

   The airplane had in total 2 stories and could carry a maximum of about 500 people. Using the large space inside the plane, for the first-class, it had built a bar lounge, a powder room; and for the business class it had a bar counter etc.

   The tourist coming from Thailand to Japan was having an upward trend. At the New Kansai Airport Company, an exclusive gangway that passengers could get on and off from the second floor was under preparation, its completion would be in the autumn of next year. A housewife (51) from the Himeji-city in Hyogo who once boarded the airplane said that "it is pleasurable that the airplane was different from others".

I hope the passenger plane Airbus A380 will have less mechanical problems etc. than the Boeing 787.
