Recently the Yomiuri News reported the following:
On the 19th, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Prime Minister Wen Jaiboa had sent out a letter of encouragement to reply to the girl child in Fukushima Prefecture whom he had communicated with when he visited Japan in May.
The child was Kayo Fukushima who was the 6th grade student of Koriyama municipal elementary school, and it was said that Prime Minister had written that "Children in the stricken area in Japan are invited to China, and hope that you may come".
Fukushima-san had shook hands with Prime Minister Wen when he arrived at Fukushima Station to inspect the stricken area on May 21, and sent the letter that had written down his impression etc at that time. The reply of Prime Minister Wen was sent to Fukushima-san and family with "wishes for living healthily and happily" etc. and was dated June 11 written in a brush.
China shows the intention to invite 500 students in the stricken area to China with the idea of trying to improve Japan's feelings towards China through supporting the East Japan great earthquake reconstruction work.
Regardless of the intention, it is a positive gesture from China.
