"Full
bag inspection" which would conduct radioactive material inspection on the new
rice in each individual bag harvested in Fukushima Prefecture
had started on the 25th.
It was the
"Ikagawa" early rice being the top in Fukushima that was cut to conduct the
inspection. It was the rice farmer from Mr. Takayuki Anzai of Nihommatsu that
was shipped out. Mr. Anzai said “it is uneasy, naturally. The heart was like jumping
out”.
The
standard of the inspection was below 80 Bq per kg (Bq). All of 14 bags which
were shipped out by Mr. Anzai, they were within the standard as shown in the result of the
inspection. Mr. Anzai said that “feels the relief and eyes are wet. It
is a really delightful to the limitation."
In Fukushima rice harvest
would become a regular event from now on; inspection on about 350,000 tons in
12 million bags would be conducted.
It is good
news that the rice produced in Fukushima
prefecture is safe for consumption.
