Recently the NHK News on-line reported the following:

On the 12th at slightly after 7:00 p.m. [Japan Standard Time] the NHK broadcasted the "World Premium" which was a television program for overseas; when it sent a report about the problem of the "South Weekend" :about an article had been rewritten by the local authorities in China, TV image and sound were interrupted for about 5 minutes.

The broadcast that was interrupted was the portion of the screen images showing many policemen were deployed in front of the South Weekend’s head office in order to control and monitor the protest activities, and also the report that the movement to support the "South Weekend" had spread out below the surface etc.

Relating to this problem, it was a continuous three-day NHK news broadcasting interruption.

About the report that the problem's ripples were spreading out, the China authorities claimed that one of the causes was the instigating from outside bodies; China was showing a sharp reaction so that the situation might not expand any further  regarding the matter.

My feeling is that as a tradition, China often explains problems that happened in the country as the result of the instigation from outside. I am interested to know whether Hong Kong and Taiwan would be classified as outside or not.
