沢田研二會有新演唱會

Recently the Yomiuri News on-line reported the following:

元「ザ・タイガース」のボーカルで歌手の沢田研二さん（６４）が６日夜、東京・渋谷公会堂で開いた自身のコンサートの中で、同グループ結成時の５人で１２月に再結成コンサートを行うことを明らかにした。

　解散後に５人が勢ぞろいして公演するのは初めてという。

　タイガースは沢田さんと、岸部一徳さん（ベース）、森本太郎さん（ギター）、瞳みのるさん（ドラム）、加橋かつみさん（ギター、ボーカル）の５人組で１９６７年にデビュー。グループサウンズブームを先導する人気を誇り、７１年に解散した。再結成コンサートは１２月に東京ドームなど全国で行う予定。

On the night of the 6^th, originally the vocal of "The Tigers" Mr. Kenji Sawada the signer (64) made known clearly at the Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo that, in his own concert to be held in December, a reunion concert would be held by the five members: the same group that had assembled at the time when it was first formed.

It was said that this would be first time for these 5 people to perform after their breaking up.

“The Tigers” with its first appearance in 1967 was a five people group with Mr. Sawada, and Mr. Kazunori Kishibe (base), Mr. Taro Morimoto (guitar), Mr. Hitominoru (drum), and Mr.Kahashikatsumi (a guitar, vocal). They were proud of getting their popularity in leading the group-sounds boom, and were dispersed in 1971. A reunion concert would be held in the whole country, such as at the Tokyo Dome, in December.

I have heard the songs sung by Kenji Sawada many years ago. So, his return to the stage should be good news for some of the old-timers.
