世界全年平均気温:「可能是史上最高」ＷＭＯ警告

世界の年平均気温:「史上最高になる可能性」ＷＭＯ警告

　世界気象機関（ＷＭＯ）は３日、今年の世界の年平均気温が観測史上最高になる可能性が高いと発表した。このままでは年平均気温の上位１５年は今世紀に入ってからの１４年が占めることになり、ＷＭＯは「地球温暖化はとどまることなく続いている」と警告している。

　ペルー・リマで開催中の気候変動枠組み条約第２０回締約国会議（ＣＯＰ２０）に合わせて発表した。同条約のフィゲレス事務局長は「地球の気候が変わり、年を追うごとに極端な気象や人間への悪影響の恐れが増している」と指摘。ＣＯＰ２０で温暖化対策の新たな国際枠組みづくりが進展するよう期待した。（共同）

On the 3rd (December) the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) announced that there was a possibility for this year’s (2014) annual world mean air temperature to reach a historical record high. For the top 15 years that had the highest average temperature so far, 2014 year of this century would occupy a place, and the WMO was warning that "Global warming will continue non-stop".

  This was announced according to the 20th round of the Conference of the Parties (COP20) held in Peru Lima working under the Framework Convention on Climate Change. Secretary-general Figueres of the said Convention pointed out that "regarding earth’s climate change, with each passing year, the fear for extreme weather and bad influence on man would increase". It was expected that some new making on international structures in dealing with the global warming would be developed in COP20.

The warning that "Global warming will continue non-stop" is quite worrying.
