新力重新在中国販賣遊戲機

ソニーは、中国本土でこれまで禁止されていたゲーム機の販売が、ことし１４年ぶりに解禁されたことを受けて、来月から日本のメーカーとしては初めて中国市場でゲーム機の販売に乗り出すことを発表しました。

これは１１日、ソニーが上海で開いた発表会で明らかにしたもので、来月１１日から中国本土で「プレイステーション４」と「プレイステーションヴィータ」を販売するということです。
中国本土では、青少年の成長に悪影響を与えるとして、２０００年以降ゲーム機の販売や輸入が禁止されてきましたが、ことしから当局の審査を通れば販売できるようになり、ソニーは日本のメーカーとしては初めて参入することになります。
中国のゲーム機市場には、すでにマイクロソフトが参入しているほか、販売解禁以前から密輸されたゲーム機やゲームソフトも多く出回っています。
ソニーでは、今後日本や海外でヒットしているゲームソフトに加えて、中国市場向けに開発されたソフトも販売する予定だということで、「ソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント」の織田博之アジア統括担当は「中国語版のゲームソフトが遊べることや、保証制度などの正規品のメリットをアピールし、販売拡大につなげたい」と話しています。

Sony, regarding their sale of game machines which was prohibited in mainland China so far (2014) and now permitted after 14 years, announced that as a Japanese manufacturer it would go out to sell game machines in the Chinese market for the first time starting from next month (January).

Sony made this clear at a presentation held in Shanghai on the 11^th (December), and it was said that they would sell "Play Station 4" and "Play Station Vita" in mainland China from the 11th next month.

It was previously assumed that they had a bad influence on the growth of young people in mainland China, and its sale and import of game machines were being prohibited after 2000. But as it passed the examination of the authority, from this year Sony could participate as a Japanese manufacturer for the first time.

Regarding the Chinese game machine market, Microsoft was already there. Before the ban on sales was lifted, many smuggled game machines and game software were already on the scene floating around.

It was said that from now on Sony would also plan on selling game software which was popular in Japan and in foreign countries, and also to develop software for the Chinese markets. Hiroyuki Oda the Asian overall in-charge of the "Sony computer entertainment" said that “their sales expansion would be link to the attraction that Chinese edition of the game software can be played, and the merit of a guarantee system on genuine items".

So, Sony game machines etc. will return to mainland China again after 14 years.
