札幌啤酒因為支付額外酒稅有赤字

大手ビールメーカーの「サッポロホールディングス」のことし６月までの中間決算は、第３のビールとして販売していた商品を発泡酒として販売し直したことに伴って、１１６億円の酒税を追加で支払ったことなどから、最終的な損益が１０９億円の赤字となりました。

サッポロホールディングスは、ビール系飲料の中で税率が最も低い第３のビールとして販売していた「サッポロ極ＺＥＲＯ」について、国税当局からの問い合わせをきっかけに発泡酒として販売し直し、これに伴って１１６億円の酒税を追加で支払いました。
この影響で、サッポロのことし６月までの中間決算は、酒税の追加分を特別損失として計上したことから、最終的な損益が１０９億２８００万円の赤字となりました。
さらに、ことし１２月までの年間の業績見通しについても、当初５０億円の黒字としていた最終的な損益の予想を２０億円の赤字に下方修正しました。
年間で最終赤字になった場合、サッポロとしては今の持ち株会社制に移行した平成１５年以降では初めてで、第３のビールの税率を巡る問題が経営に大きな影響を及ぼすことになります。
サッポロホールディングスの上條努社長は会見で「今回の特別損失は一時的な要因とみている。業績自体は順調なので今月以降、売り上げを伸ばしていきたい」と述べました。

"Sapporo Holdings" a major beer maker, because the company’s interim account settlement in June this year was connected to the reselling of the third-category beer as low-malt beer, it’s final profit and loss became 10,900 million yen in the red after additionally paying 11,600 million yen liquor tax.

Regarding the "Sapporo Goku Zero" currently sold as the third-category beer which carried the lowest tax rates in the beer drinking category, Sapporo Holdings resold it as low-malt beer after making an enquiry with the national tax authorities, and paid 11,600 million yen liquor tax additionally in this connection.

Because of that, Sapporo’s interim accounting settlement by June had to include the liquor tax portion as an extraordinary loss, and the final profit and loss became 10,928 million yen in the red this year.

Furthermore about the annual earnings prospect by December this year, the anticipated 5 billion yen surplus in final profit and loss forecasted earlier was revised downwards to a 2 billion yen deficit.

It was the first time to have a net loss in a year since Heisei 15 when Sapporo shifted into the present holding company system, and the problem involving tax rates on the third-category beer had a big influence on the management.

President Tsutomu Kamijo of Sapporo Holdings in an interview said that "this extraordinary loss is regarded as a temporary factor. I want to extend sales after this month because the performance of the business itself is getting favorable".

   It must be a difficult decision for Sapporo to stop selling "Sapporo Goku Zero" as the third-category beer and to resell it as the low-malt beer.
