A Chinese independent media the "Cai Xin" (electronic edition) reported that Wang Feng the Shanghai railroad office assistant chief was inaugurated as the Lanzhou Railroad Bureau chief on the other day. Mr. Wang was the person who supposedly had ordered that, regarding the high speed train accident occurred in Wenzhou in July 2011, the accident vehicles should be filled up with the earth. This staff promotion incident had caused some ripple.

According to the report, Mr. Wang was inaugurated as the Lanzhou Railroad Bureau chief on the 24th last month (April). In the high speed train accident of Wenzhou where 200 or more people were injured or killed, Mr. Wang was in command regarding the processing of the accident scene. He was the only person who had received penalty for directing that the accident vehicles be buried.

As it was less than three years after the accident, there were a lot of voice of criticism in the network saying that "it is a huge difference from South Korea where the prime minister expressed resignation because of the ferry sinking accident" etc.

It seems that officials in China and Korea have different duties and responsibilities when they are handling similar situations, probably due to a difference in political structure in their countries.
