Mr. Zhang Yimou, the iconic film director of China, had broken what was called the one-child policy. Although having three children, he admitted that until now a notice had not been submitted to the authorities; and the voice of criticism that special treatment was given to the privileged people had come out on the Chinese networks.

Mr. Zhang Yimou was a film director representing China who was known for works such as the "Red Kaoliang", and was still proud of having high popularity within and without China.

However, from the spring this year some Chinese media suspected that he had many children and that the one-child policy was broken. This had become the center of attention among the people.

On the other hand, Mr. Zhang Yimou's office announced a comment that "surely there were three children with his wives, he admitted the violation and would accept the punishment based on the statute". He was retorting that "some legal counteraction would be considered towards the rumor that there were other children" etc.

Moreover, on the 2nd the childbirth planning authorities also issued a comment that "the notification about three children has not been received"; and it was supposed that from now on a decision on the fine etc. would be considered and announced.

In China, many media had reported this news extensively; also the voice of "whether to keep calm when privileged people disregard the law" etc. criticism had come out in the Weibo, the China version of the twitter.

It is interesting to note how the Chinese authorities would handle this case.
