伊藤園烏龍茶需要回收

Recently the NHK News on-line reported the following:

大手飲料メーカーの「伊藤園」が中国から輸入したウーロン茶の茶葉から、国の基準を上回る農薬の成分が検出され、この茶葉を使ったティーバッグ式の商品およそ40万個を自主回収することになりました。問い合わせは、11日午前9時から電話0120-556-760で受け付けます。

自主回収することになったのは、伊藤園が製造・販売した「ウーロン茶ティーバッグ」54袋入りのうち、賞味期限が来年11月27日以前のものと、「濃いウーロン茶ティーバッグ」30袋入りのうち賞味期限が来年11月25日以前のもの。それに、大手スーパーなどのプライベートブランドとして製造した「スタイルワン烏龍茶ティーバッグ」54袋入りのうち、賞味期限が来年11月16日以前の商品です。
これらの商品は、合わせておよそ40万個に上るということです。
伊藤園が今月上旬検査を行ったところ、中国の福建省から輸入した茶葉から、食品衛生法の基準を上回る2種類の農薬の成分が検出されたということです。
会社によりますと、今回、検出された農薬の量から考えると、お茶を飲んでも健康に影響を与えるおそれはないとしています。
伊藤園では「お客様に多大なるご迷惑をおかけし心よりおわびします。今後は、管理体制の向上に努めます」と話しています。

Agricultural chemical ingredients which had exceeded the safety standard of the country were detected from the tea leaves of the Oolong tea of "Ito En", a major beverage manufacturer which imported them from China. A voluntary recall of about 400,000 tea bag-type goods that used these tea leaves would be carried out. Inquiry would be received by telephone at 0120-556-760 from 9:00 a.m. on the 11th.

The voluntary recall goods involved Ito En manufactured and sold 54-bag packing "Oolong-tea tea bags" with the best-before date set at November 27 next year; and the 30-bag packing "Strong Oolong-tea tea bags" with the best-before date set at November 25 next year. Also there was those previous goods which was manufactured as private brands in major supermarkets such as "Style One Oolong-tea tea bags" in packing of 54-bag with the best-before date set at November 16 next year.

It was said that these products could reach up to about 400,000 pieces in total.

It was said that two kinds of agricultural chemical ingredients had exceeded the standard of the Food Sanitation Law; they were detected from the tea leaves imported from Fujian of China when Ito En inspected them at the beginning of this month.

According to the company, considered from the quantity of the agricultural chemicals which were detected this time, although the tea was drunk, supposedly it was not possible to affect health.

Ito En had said that "They apologize from the bottom of their heart for creating great trouble to customers. From now on they will strive to improve their management system".

Obviously Ito En is trying to save the good image of their products.
