According to the budget plan for fiscal year 13 (staring from January next year) which the intelligence service: the "National Security Office" in Taiwan would present to the legislative organ (the Parliament) meeting scheduled for late September, the hacker attacks from China on the national security office, merely in the first half of this year, had increased rapidly to 1,036,226 times from the 980,649 times last year . The Taiwan media reported this. It was said that these invasions were prevented. Although the direction for the national defense budget of Taiwan was aiming at reduction, it planned to expand the information warfare section, and it aimed at improvement in the capability in information warfare with China.

Moreover, the Taiwan media said that according to the China military strength report prepared by the Department of Defense, China missiles aiming at Taiwan had increased from about 1400 shots of last year to about 1600 shots this year. On the other hand, it was said that many of the missiles which the Taiwan side being equipped had reached the usage expiry date; and "in order to extend them, parts had to purchase from a foreign country",  it was said that this was vulnerable militarily.

It is an interesting war game; both sides are pumping money and other resources into it.
