Recently the Excite News reported the following:

On the 8th, China's amusement park the "Country Paradise" in Chengdu City of Sichuan removed the huge statue which looked like the popular animated cartoon "Mobile Soldier Gundam" because of the problems it had generated. This garden said that "It is not possible to comment because the person in charge not here" although it was thought that this was a response to the criticism on "Copyright infringement" that the garden had received. It was said that the drawing of the image came to light at the end of last year. It was constructed in Christmas, about 15 meters in height; although it resembled the Gundam closely, the garden insisted that "The design was thought out by themselves". Afterwards, part of the face was covered and hidden under the cloth as "it was under repair for the purpose of making it into a different image".

This "Made in China" Gundam statue has been a topic of discussion in some Japanese media in recently weeks. Finally China has decided to do something about it.
